Dr. Ress, is a Florida native, born in Miami. His mission has been to always get the best education possible and to that end he attended high school at the Choate School, where President John F. Kennedy graduated. Dr. Ress graduated with high honors (cum laude) from Cornell University and began his medical career at the University Of Miami School Of Medicine and graduated in 1988.
Dr. Ress was accepted at the world renowned Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota where he completed his surgical education, graduating as Chief Resident of Surgery. From there he performed pure scientific research in the Plastic Surgery department at Johns Hopkins University, and thereafter completed plastic surgery fellowships at Indiana University and the Cleveland Clinic.
Dr. Andrew Ress has been widely published in the surgical literature and continues to perform primary research in affiliation with Torrey Pines Research Institute.
Dr. Ress has scored in the top 5% of all plastic surgeons in national exams including the “in-service exam” during residency training and most recently in recertifying exam for the American Board of Plastic Surgery.
Since 1997, Dr. Ress established his surgical practice in swanky Boca Raton, a suburb of Miami and comparable to Beverly Hills. Dedicated to the complete care of the plastic surgery patient, Dr. Ress has been recognized for his outstanding bedside manner. Besides having the most outstanding surgical training, Dr. Ress has performed well over nine thousand surgeries during his career.
Dr. Ress believes in patient safety above all else and operated when general anesthesia is required at facilities fully accredited at by the Joint Commission, including West Boca Medical Center, the Boca Raton Surgery and Laser Center and Boca Raton Regional Hospital.
